The second year of The Lawrence Cup games was hosted by Peter and Sally.
Here is a message from out hosts:
Dear Rampant Red Indians and Courageous Cowboys
Thanks very much for coming the other day, and it was a real joy to have you all here for the day. Memories are made of …. We would like to report that 6 wigwams are still safely standing and much admired by curious walkers in the woods. The bracken has browned and they may not be quite as water tight as they once were, and we are missing the lovely curtains from the inspired Farringdon tribe.
It was also lovely for everyone to meet Ivo and Orla, to see those from far flung parts of the world like the USA and Scotland and we wish Wigwam (how more appropriate) well as she approaches her final furlong. Matt would have been in the centre of the water fight and we saw a new side of Evelyn, didn’t we?
Hugs and lots of love
Sally, Peter, Tanya and Juliet xx
p.s. We still hunt for the missing flour bombs. They are like missing family jewels, and could easily be lobbed at the passing postman or any other visitors in all their finery. Many residents in The Sands have previously enjoyed a fine white coating over them.
